A new LAN organizer by the name of Jamie 'Dieago' Selby has announced a 10.000€ LAN event to take place in May 2012 at Inferno Online in Stockholm, Sweden.

UPDATE: The LAN was moved for a month because it would interfere with Dockyard LAN by ESF and will now take place from 4th - 7th of May 2012.

Announced to the community through a forum thread on Tek-9.org, community member Jamie 'Dieago' Selby has announced a potentially massive event for CoD4, as he has planned to host a TUP (Turn up and Play) LAN event called CUTTINGEDGE LAN in April 2012, at the infamous Inferno Online internet café in Stockholm, Sweden.

Here are the details as announced by Jamie himself:
    Organiser: Jamie 'Dieago' Selby
    Name: CuttingEdgeLAN 2012 LAN
    Centre Host: Inferno Online
    Location: Stockholm, Sweden.
    Cost: 350 EUROS +1 Manager
    Date: May 4th - 7th 2012
    Teams: 48
    Prizepot: 10,000 EUROS

As you can see this is big news for CoD4. The last time we saw an offline event of this magnitude was the Antwerp eSports Festival in 2010, so things are certainly looking better for the scene.

Payments are already open to interested teams, and signup details can be found on the event website which can be found at the following address: www.cuttingedge-online.co.uk
