Greece's 16 Team LAN

It has to be said, 2011 is most definately the LAN year of Call of Duty 4, with old and new events coming to reward the scene for its dedication. With that being said, the massive number of LANs does not mean a good attendance, as we can currently see with E-Series Maximus LAN in Weesp, The Netherlands:, but we will not fail, or will we?

Without a doubt the local scenes in countries not considered the most potent in terms of Call of Duty 4 skill-wise (with notable exceptions of course), such as the Italian Autumn LAN with over 30 teams in attendance and now also - NetCups Frag Lan 2011 in Athens, Greece that has 16 teams attending.

One might say that events that have a signup fee of 10€ per player and boast with prizes of €500 in cash together with hardware aren't worth keeping an eye on, but in fact, it is local LAN's that keep the community going for if there is no place for teams to start competing in offline tournaments they won't bother coming to the major EU events either, as they will be afraid of getting the nerves.

With the event starting yesterday, the groups have already been played out and today, on the 29th of October (Authors note: is my birthday), the best four teams of each group will continue their struggle in order to win in the playoffs.
