How to find a Stream / Cast for your match
We have a lot of good matches that just aren't covered by a stream nowadays.
Yet there is an increasing amount of willing streamers and casters happy to offer their services.
There are two perks to being streamed - you, your team and the casters group gain exposure.
If you think your match
will attract viewers and you'd like it streamed, then read the two ways you can go about requesting a stream below.
Post in this thread with this simple format:
- Team A vs Team B
- Date and Time of match
- Competition Name | Round |
- Team A Line Up, Player 1, Player 2, Player 3, Player 4, Player 5
- Team B Line Up, Player 1, Player 2, Player 3, Player 4, Player 5
*Xfire of contact person (for server details etc)
If the streamers are interested they will contact you in one of three ways:
-Adding you as a buddy on CG (at their discretion they may remove you after the cast)
-Instant messaging you on CG/Tek-9
-Adding you on Xfire
-Messaging you on #cod.streams@quakenet
OR...
-Join #cod.streams @quakenet
-Advertise the match you'd like streamed with the following format:
-
Team A vs
Team B,
Competition Name and Round,
Date and
Time
If casters and streamers are willing and available they will pm you.
If you need a stream or cast fast, then IRC may be quicker. But if you know a game is happening a few days in advance, you're better off posting here.
A few things....
Please also note this is not a guaranteed way to get your match a stream, in the worst case you could always try streaming yourself and then posting it here on CG/tek-9!
Remember that the larger professional casting companies like QuadV,KaosTV,CodTV all want to cover matches that will attract viewers and give them publicity, so don't be surprised if they decline your offer - just keep trying!
You can find an example of a request in the post below
Do not post in this thread unless you are requesting a stream/cast
TIP: Idle #cod.streams to see the latest/ongoing casts and requests.
