nice i like the top of the site the banner / logo
not a big fan of the scrolling idk sponsors or something it looks a bit laggy
and the background is nice 2

The back ground could be more symmetrical and repeat all the way down as far as the content goes. Also the button text at the top could be a bit bigger and easier to read. May be separate the main content into sections to make the page shorter. I also agree with aldamith the sponsor banner at the top is a little laggy could be made smoother. But overall the site and design looks good just needs a little polishing

It does look a lot like it but the source code is totally different so it's not even a template or anything. But you could take a leaf from infused's book with the text size and the sponsor bar also the background.

You could also have the nav bar text colour change when you hover or click that link.
