Well Ladies and gentlemen. After looking at the CG Stats... In the past 48 hours only 0 PUGs where completed.
It's safe to say that PUG's are officially dead. Probably due to the increased hacking, leaving, trolling, that was taking place on them... And the inability of members to provide substantial evidence to the CG staff in reports.
I know of this, as I did report a few ragers and leavers, and returned with nothing due to not providing enough evidence.
I respect PUG admins though as they must have received 10s of tickets a day when PUGs were at there peak of about 20-30 a day. Despite one of my tickets going un-answered for nearly a month, I sent a lovely raging message to the admins about it, saying how bad PUGs were.
Now that I've seen that alot of effort goes into maintaining such an active service is actually quite substantial.
But it is sad to see that PUG's have gone dead. Maybe the admins can come together and think of a way of promoting PUGs again. Maybe try and have some Dedicated servers that are streaming Punkbuster ect. To help fight hacks (despite being almost useless). Anything that could get new players into PUG's.
It's just an Idea seen as though you're possibly paying money for a service that is currently not being used.
Another thing is Forum activity. Forums don't seem to be as active as they used to be which in turn is making it harder for people to recruit or look for a team. Tek-9 usually deal with that obviously. But CG is a better community I believe as it's not full of Team Tek-9 Fanboys and trolls. As 90% of Tek-9s users have no reason to be there apart from troll and scream hacks on other players.
CG on the other hand is different, a Large community with attractive ladders for Teams to test there skills either in the CGo ladder or the CGa ladder hoping to hit the CGi ladder. Which is what I like about CG.
Alot of people will think tl;dr but I'm trying to keep these forums alive to stop Tek-9s trolls from eating up the rep of the legitimate gamers out there.
