Hello,

I have a problem with my microphone for a few days now.

My Setup:

Soundcard: Club Theatron Agrippa 7.1 DTS
Headset: Steelseries Siberia V2 (not the USB one)

when it worked it worked half but acceptable. IT recorded Stereomix AND Mic. So I used push to talk to not annoy my teammates.

but suddenly it stopped working while I was playing.

It worked like 3 or 4 rounds in the game and suddenly my mates started complaning that i dont announce anything, so I checked my mic and it was dead.
didnt even worked after I closed the game.

Next day, It worked UNTIL I started cod4. since then it didnt worked.

now it is like this: Sound works Fine, but the Microphone of my Soundcard just records Stereomix (thats a bit weird too, cause i disabled everything i dont need, like wave and stereomix.) but not the mic.

So I tried my microphone (and headphones) on my onboard card. Headphones worked, but mic doesnt even gives a click of it. If I record the Mic with audacity its just a line. So nothing. Not even a little scratch when muting and unmuting the mice on the cable controll.

At this state I cant really tell if its a soundcard / driver problem or my headset is broken.
(Cause at first it looks like soundcard, stopped working when starting cod4, but then like headset, other soundcard dont work either.)

If anyone got a similar problem and solved it, HELP ME xD

I'm going to try the headset at my brothers Computer when I'm there the next time.

Thx

have u checked if it is properly plugged in? I am saying this because it has happened to me in the past xD. I do not think soundcard is the problem cause it wouldnt have worked even for a little time if it wasnt compatible with it...
