General
These rules are set to explain the basic conduct teams are expected to adhere to and also the action that will be taken by the admins if evidence comes to light of these rules being breached by a player or team. All team leaders are expected to be familiar with the rules and there is no excuse for not knowing the rules. All team leaders are expected to ensure that their players adhere to these rules. If a player breaks any of the rules, action will be taken against both the player and the team leader.
Team Requirements
- Teams must have 2 players on their roster to play in the CyberGamer Ladder.
- Teams with 1 or less players will automatically be removed from the ladder after 7 days.
- The maximum amount of players per team is 2 players.
- Both players must enter their UAC ID and COD4 GUID to their CyberGamer profile.
Here explains how you can go about doing this. If one or more players are missing either then the match may be forfeitted.
COD4 GUIDs and UAC IDs
All COD4 GUIDs must be clean on PB Bans and GGC. If a player plays a match with a banned GUID or UAC ID, their team will lose the match by forfeit.
Anti-Cheat
UAC3 MUST be used at all times for all matches played on CyberGamer. Please see the following steps in order to play with UAC3:
- 1. Head to
http://uac.ac and download the latest client. Register within the client.
- 2. Activate your account by confirming your email address (remember to check your spam folder)
- 3. Copy your unique UAC ID and paste it in the UAC ID box on your CyberGamer profile
- 4. Load up UAC3 by finding the relevant file
- 5. Enter your username and password
- 6. Press the "login" button
- 7. Press the "play" button and, if you have not donated, wait 15 seconds for the donation screen to hide
- 8. Enter the match ID from your CyberGamer match details page into the relevant field
- 9. Select your desired game (Call of Duty)
- 10. Press 'Start scanning' once you are ready (note: screenshots will start being taken at this point)
- 11. Launch your selected game
If you require support or have any questions then check out the FAQ section on the UAC website. If you still need support then please head on over to the support section of the UAC website:
http://uac.ac/#support. Alternatively the CyberGamer admins may be able to provide basic support for minor issues over on the support page -
http://www.cybergamer.org/support/.
Teams must use UAC3 in every match. Teams may claim a forfeit win after the match if their opponent has not used UAC3 providing the match is still open. In order to claim a forfeit of this type, teams must provide a link to the match details over on the UAC website.
In the event of a team or player refusing to use UAC3, a screenshot must be taken as evidence. A dispute must be opened as well as uploading the screenshot to the match page in order to claim a forfeit win.
Players have 48 hours to upload their UAC match files. Failure to upload within this time will result in a forfeit.
Banned Players
Players that have been banned by CyberGamer or The Vita Nova are NOT allowed to participate in any of the CyberGamer leagues or Vita Nova ran events. Any teams found to be fielding banned players will have all matches defaulted where the player in question appears on the roster.
Players who are found playing with known cheaters (previously with their old/banned and now new account), will be banned for two weeks for a first offence. Further offences of this rule will result in a longer ban.
Teams found to have been playing with banned players will not be considered for promotion.
Match Rules
For all CyberGamer ladder and league matches, Promodlive 2.11 or Promodlive 2.14 is to be used. The specific mode is promod_mode 2v2_match_mr10. You may download Promodlive 2.11 here:
http://www.codpromod.com/wp-content/plugins/download-monitor/download.php?id=5.
The use of the sniper and demolition class is strictly forbidden. Using the 2v2 mode through Promod automatically disables these classes.
Matches are to be played until a team has reached 21 rounds in total or teams have drawn at 20 rounds each. Teams that have won may leave the server if they wish to. In case of the winning team leaving, the remaining rounds will NOT be added to the opponents score.
Any matches which are deemed to be fake and there is clear evidence available will result in the match being cancelled and a 1 week match ban given to all players involved.
Once a match has been closed/completed, it cannot be reopened. You must ensure that you either enter the correct result in or dispute the match as soon as possible.
Demos, Screenshots, and Disputes
In order to officially request a demo you must first dispute the match. This can be done by ticking the dispute box underneath where scores are entered on the match page. Following this you can then proceed to request up to 2 demos by stating the players name in the dispute comments area. Demo requests made in-game will be ignored. Once the requested demos have been uploaded you will be required to timestamp the demo in order for it to be reviewed. This is a log of the accused player listing specific rounds and times. All demos will be reviewed by CyberGamer's anti-cheat crew.
If a demo is missing more than 3 rounds then a default win will be awarded to the opposing team.
All matches played need to be recorded and demos should be kept until 48 hours after the date listed on the match details. Should a dispute be opened, demos should be kept until 48 hours after the dispute is solved. Failing to follow these rules will lead to a direct forfeit loss for the team.
Opponents have the right to request
two (2) demos from their opponents if they suspect foul play. All matches played are public games and therefore demos must be made available to the public.
Teams/players must request a demo by writing the CyberGamer nickname of the required player(s) in the dispute chat, not in-game. If a player has a different nickname in-game, you may request that the player uses their CyberGamer nickname or alternatively you may correspond their in-game GUID to their CyberGamer GUID by using /pb_power or /pb_plist.
Failure to comply with demo requests will result in the following:
- 1st offence: match forfeit and a warning issued
- 2nd offence: 1 week ban
- 3rd offence: 2 week ban
- 4th offence: 1 month ban
Further offences will result in a 12 month ban.
The following rules apply to disputes:
- Players have
48 hours to upload their demo from the request date. Failure to upload the demo within the time will result in the match being forfeitted.
- Once the requested demo(s) have been uploaded, teams/players will have a further
24 hours to provide timestamps.
- If teams enter differing results, an admin will request screenshots of both maps in order to confirm a result. If no screenshots are uploaded within 48 hours of request, the match will be cancelled.
In order to raise a dispute, use the function on the CyberGamer website underneath where scores are entered on the match page. Your dispute must be accompanied by all of the following:
- 1. A short report listing the demos you wish to review
- 2. Screenshots of the results of both maps
- 3. List of players that played from each team (/pb_plist)
-
4. Demos that have been TIMESTAMPED - timestamps that have minimal information such as "WH, aimbot" and so forth will be dismissed. Timestamps must have a full explanation with good reasoning as well as the round and time the event occured. You must provide at least 8 timestamps - any less and your dispute will be dismissed
If any of the above are missing from a dispute, it will be disregarded and the score shall remain. The admins decision is FINAL.
Teams MUST provide screenshots of the result when a match is in dispute. Failure to do so will result in the match being cancelled.
Client Settings.
Illegal Scripts and Binds
Scripts & config tweaking including but not limited to nadescripts, weapon_next, macros and so forth, including configs that change commands/rates. These commands range from set nade binds to gain the longest throw to scripting a superior firing rate of semi-automatic weapons. This also includes multi-command binds such as bind KEY "toggleads; +attack" on the scroll wheel. Players found guilty of abusing these will be banned as seen fit.
Illegal Files
ALL matches are to be played with the generic Call of Duty 4 files and the Promod files. Players found with any tweaked files, or non-generic files (e.g. skins, audio, etc.) will receive appropriate bans which will be determined by The Vita Nova.
Third Party Programmes
Using any third party software (e.g. nVidia Control Panel or RivaTuner) to tweak graphics settings to give an advantage are NOT allowed. The most common example of this is ambient occlusion.
Server Settings
PunkBuster
PunkBuster must be enabled on all match servers at all times during the match.
PBBans Stream
You MUST ensure that your server is streaming to PBBans. Teams may demand that they play on a PBBans enabled server, however, it should be noted that it is NOT forfeitable if both teams ready-up.
A guide on how to set your server up may be found at:
http://goo.gl/c4IJA
Mod
Promodlive 2.11 or Promodlive 2.14 (promod_mode 2v2_match_mr10) must be used for ALL CyberGamer matches. You can download Promodlive 2.11 here:
http://www.codpromod.com/wp-content/plugins/download-monitor/download.php?id=5.
Maps
The following maps may be played within the CyberGamer ladders and leagues:
- mp_backlot - mp_backlot_fix is acceptable -
http://www.cybergamer.org/files/2428/
- mp_crash
- mp_citystreets
- mp_crossfire
- mp_strike
- mp_vacant
- mp_marketcenter
- mp_sandstorm
- mp_cluster
- mp_dahman_b41
- mp_portside
- mp_smalltownx
- mp_season
- mp_hideout
- mp_slick
- mp_shantytown -
http://www.cybergamer.org/forums/thread/474467/mp_shantytown-v1.0.0-%28DevilsD%29/
Custom maps (does not include mp_shantytown) may be downloaded from:
http://www.cybergamer.org/files/4064/
Each team chooses one map. If the same map is chosen by both teams, then teams may opt to change their chosen map BEFORE the match begins. This should be written in the match comments.
The lower ranked team decides which map is played first. If teams are on equal ELO points then the team listed on the left hand side of the match page decides which map is played first. Teams may decide which side they take on the opponents map.
In-Game Rules
If all players ready up, they indicate that they accept the server settings and quality of server. Once the match begins it cannot be cancelled. Should the server crash during the game, you are to continue from the previous round played. If the match is 3 rounds or less in, then the map is to be restarted.
Note that teams may not have more than two (2) players in-game unless they are spectating.
COD4 GUID, UAC ID and Player Check
COD4 GUIDs and UAC IDs are to be checked by both teams and compared to the roster. It is down to the teams to take screenshots /pb_plist (COD4 GUIDs). Checks may be done before or after the match and if it is found that they do not match then teams may claim a forfeit win.
If a player is not listed on the teams roster or a players GUID/UAC ID is incorrect or missing then the player is considered inelegible and thus a forfeit win may be claimed. Equally if a player is stated as inelegible to play on the teams roster then a forfeit win may be claimed. Forfeits will only be awarded against the five (5) players that were present in the match - you will need to provide proof of who played.
Bugs
It is not permitted for any user to take advantage of map bugs or glitches during a CyberGamer match. Glitching is defined as moving or seeing through a physical object or an object designed to appear physical. Straight forward jumps and those that do not involve any part of the in-game character moving through a physical object, are allowed.
Grenade jumps and anything similar are not permitted.
Boosting is only allowed to boost players to spots where a player can get to by themselves. Boosting by shooting own players is not allowed. For every round this occurs, the round will be defaulted to the opposing team. If this occurs
more than 3 times during the match it will be defaulted to the opposing team.
Players are only allowed to bounce to places which can be reached without the use of a bounce. Bouncing to roofs and balconies which are unreachable in a normal way is prohibited.
To report a team for using map bugs, open a dispute and follow the standard procedure as set out above.
Time Allowance
Teams are allowed a maximum of 10 minutes during the map change and 5 minutes during the side change. Failure to comply to this may result in a forfeit depending on the discretion of the admin.
Timeouts
Each team is allowed one timeout per side (Attack / Defence). Teams may therefore use a maximum of 4 timeouts.
No-Shows
Should a team not show 15 minutes after the match time then the match is to be cancelled. Forfeit wins will NOT be awarded for teams failing to show. Once a team ready's up, the match has started and can no longer be cancelled unless agreed to by both teams.
Server Crashes
If the server crashes during the game, you are to continue from the previous round played. If the match is 3 rounds or less in, then the map is to be restarted.
Cheating
Any player caught cheating by demo will be banned from CyberGamer. We will determine the ban length as seen fit. Bans of this nature are usually given a length of 12 months.
Any allegation of cheating is to be supported with a dispute (according to the rules set out above), demo and timestamps.
Abuse and Racism
A warning or ban will be given to any player found to be abusing another team/player. A second offence will result in a substantial ban and will be dealt with accordingly. Racism is strictly forbidden and will result in an instant match ban.
- 1st offence: warning
- 2nd offence: 1 week ban
- 3rd offence: 2 weeks ban
- 4th offence: 1 month ban
Abuse against an admin in-game, dispute chat or private message will not be tolerated and may result in an instant ban.
Impersonating either an admin or another player is an offense. Any evidence of this can and will lead to a ban which will be determined by CyberGamer.
Cancelling Fixtures
You may cancel a match at any time before the match has been completed on the basis both teams agree. In order to request a match cancel, both teams should confirm within the match comments and seek an admin for further support.
Shout casting / Spectating
CyberGamer reserves the right to spectate matches at random. Failure to allow an admin to spectate a match may result in the match being cancelled. You can identify admins by the tag [CG] and can tell the difference between an impersonator and a real admin by cross-referencing COD4 GUIDs from the admin list, which can be seen at the top of the ladder page.
Any other person seeking to spectate a match must obtain permission from the opposing team.
If you are unsure of anything please contact an admin or start a ticket through support here:
